CaptionFX - open-source notices ================================ CaptionFX renders captions with open-source software. This file lists what is used, under which licence, and where the full licence text is. It is generated from the running versions by scripts/render_probe/c1_licenses.py --write-notices; it is not maintained by hand. Nothing here is legal advice. It records the licences of the components and where their texts and sources are. 1. In your browser (delivered as part of this web application) -------------------------------------------------------------- @biliblitz/libass-wasm 0.0.3 Licence: LGPL-2.1-or-later AND (FTL OR GPL-2.0-or-later) AND MIT AND MIT-Modern-Variant AND ISC AND NTP AND Zlib AND BSL-1.0 Source: git+https://github.com/biliblitz/libass-wasm.git Used as: the exact caption preview in the editor, loaded as a separate, replaceable chunk. The package is used unmodified, exactly as published on npm. Components compiled into its WebAssembly build: brotli, expat, fontconfig, freetype, fribidi, harfbuzz, libass, subtitlesoctopus Full texts, distributed with this application: /third-party/libass-wasm-LICENSE.txt (the package's own MIT licence) /third-party/libass-wasm-COPYRIGHT.txt (every component's copyright and licence) Caption fonts are served to the browser by the CaptionFX API to draw the preview; they are the same files listed in section 3. 2. On the CaptionFX servers (not distributed to you) ----------------------------------------------------- These render the final video. They run as services; no copy is distributed. ffmpeg 7:7.1.5-0+deb13u1 - LGPL-2.1+, LGPL-2.1+ and Sundry libass9 1:0.17.3-1+deb13u1 - ISC, NTP libharfbuzz0b 10.2.0-1+deb13u1 - MIT, MIT libfreetype6 2.13.3+dfsg-1+deb13u1 - FTL, FTL and Expat libfribidi0 1.0.16-1 - LGPL-2.1+, LGPL-2.1+ fontconfig 2.15.0-2.3 GPL-2.0-or-later: the Debian build enables --enable-gpl (it links libx264). ffmpeg is invoked as a separate executable by the backend (subprocess), and the image is run as a service, not distributed to users. fontTools 4.65.0 (MIT) - measures font faces in the API; never sent to a browser. 3. Caption fonts ---------------- 147 font files ship with CaptionFX: 9 x Apache-2.0, 138 x OFL-1.1. 69 of them are static weight instances generated from the variable originals with fontTools; each keeps its original licence, and a family whose licence reserves its name is renamed rather than shipped under the reserved name. The full licence texts for every bundled font are in the CaptionFX source repository under fonts/LICENSES/, alongside fonts/INVENTORY.json, which records each file's family, licence, source and checksum. The six built-in caption recipes use: Anton OFL-1.1 Anton-Regular.ttf Inter OFL-1.1 Inter[opsz, wght].ttf Lora OFL-1.1 Lora.ttf Mukta OFL-1.1 Mukta-Regular.ttf
